When the truck pulls up with this general merchandise liquidation pallet, Lot 58, you will want everything ready. The lot is a single pallet of mixed goods sold used and as-is, shipped by freight with delivery anywhere in the US included in the price, and the plan below walks through the receiving day.
Receiving-Day Plan for Your General Merchandise Liquidation Pallet
Two or three days out
- Pick the exact spot where the pallet will sit and measure the path from the dock or door to it.
- Make sure the forklift or pallet jack is in working order and that someone trained will run it.
- Line up shelving, totes and folding tables so the sort can start the same afternoon.
On the morning of delivery
- Clear vehicles and clutter from the dock apron.
- Keep a cutter, gloves and a trash bag for wrap and banding near the receiving door.
- Look the load over on arrival and note any obvious transit damage on the receipt.
The first hour
- Move the pallet straight into your sorting area so the dock is free again.
- Start with the top layer, which is usually the lightest and easiest to sort.
- Set up the totes in a line: resale, cleaning, repair, parts, recycling.
What Lot 58 Contains
It is drawn from general merchandise, the broadest department we stock. These mixed merchandise lots are not itemized, so an unmanifested pallet like this one is a first look on arrival. A count of about 100 to 300 items is typical for the department, though your load can differ.
Condition and Testing
Every piece is sold as used. We do not test, grade or check for completeness, so expect a spread that can include unopened-looking goods, worn goods, and items that are damaged, missing parts or not working.
Buyers Who Use This Lot
Bulk lots for resellers like this are bought by marketplace sellers, bin stores, swap meet vendors, discount retailers and parts or repair specialists. Results depend on your channel and are not promised.
No Dock? Other Options
Single pallets arrive as freight and are delivered curbside, so a dock, forklift or pallet jack helps most. Lacking all three? Message the store before checkout, or book local pickup by appointment; the Shipping Policy describes how long pickups can be stored.
Terms
Sold as-is, and the lot itself remains unmanifested. Returns are accepted under the Returns & Refund Policy (return freight is the buyer’s cost on standard returns, with no restocking fee), and damage, shortage and defect claims follow that page and the Shipping Policy.
Receiving Questions
How soon should I start sorting?
Ideally the same day. Goods are easier to track while the lot is fresh, and any problem can be reported promptly under the Shipping Policy and Returns & Refund Policy.
Which layer should I unpack first?
Work from the top down. Heavier goods tend to sit lower, so leaving them for last keeps the stack stable.
How much floor space should I clear?
Enough for the pallet plus room to spread out its contents, which is usually several times the pallet footprint.
