A grocery liquidation pallet is a single pallet of grocery stock sold used and as-is. Freight anywhere in the US is included, and because every unit needs its dates and seals checked, the simple record-keeping below doubles as a food safety check.
Keeping Records on a Grocery Liquidation Pallet
Columns for your log
- Product description and pack size.
- Printed date code, such as use-by or expiry.
- Seal status: intact, damaged or opened.
- Package condition: dented can, crushed box, torn bag, leaking.
- Decision: resell, donate where allowed, or discard.
Working through the pallet
Unpack by layer, logging as you go. Anything opened, leaking, swollen, heavily dented, pest-damaged or past its date goes straight to the discard pile and is recorded as such. Keep refrigerated or frozen goods out of any resale plan unless you can confirm they were kept cold, which you usually cannot with a liquidation pallet.
Rotation
Sort keepers by date so the shortest-dated items sell first. Your log then becomes a first-in, first-out list.
Food Safety Disclosure
We never break open cases to read printed date stamps or look at tamper bands, and none of that is written down anywhere. Your own log is the first record of each tin or box. Pull anything leaking, punctured or expired before it reaches a shelf. Selling short-dated groceries is regulated differently from county to county, and meeting those rules is on the buyer.
Condition and Contents
The lot is not itemized, tested or graded, and it is sold as used, mixed-condition stock. A typical pallet of this kind carries about 100 to 300 items, a guide rather than a fixed number. The mix of product types is unknown until opened.
Who Buys Grocery Lots
Discount grocery outlets, bin stores with a food section that meets local rules, market vendors licensed for packaged food, and food-bank donors where donation of in-date goods is allowed. Buyers of wholesale food lots who are already set up for date checks will find the paperwork familiar. No result is promised from this wholesale liquidation pallet.
Delivery and Pickup
Freight anywhere in the US is included in the price, with curbside delivery as described in the Shipping Policy. A dock, forklift or pallet jack makes it easier to bring the pallet in from the curb, and food should go indoors promptly. If you have none of that equipment, contact the store before ordering. Local pickup by appointment is available, and the Shipping Policy explains pickup storage terms.
Terms
This is as-is liquidation inventory, and mixed condition is disclosed up front. Returns are accepted under the Returns & Refund Policy; the buyer pays return freight on a standard return and no restocking fee applies. Transit damage, shortages or defects are reported following that policy and the Shipping Policy.
Grocery Pallet Questions
Are expiry dates checked before shipping?
No. Expect to read each stamp yourself during the first unpack.
Will there be refrigerated items?
The contents are not disclosed. Treat any chilled or frozen goods with caution, since temperature history is unknown.
Can I resell dented cans?
Toss any tin that bulges, leaks or has a deep dent along a seam. For lightly scuffed tins, your local regulations decide.
