Expect a lot of small boxes when a medium general merchandise liquidation pallet arrives, and Lot 25 is typical: one single pallet of mixed goods from the General Merchandise department, used and as-is, with freight anywhere in the US included. The receiving plan below is tuned for a high-count, mixed pallet.
Receiving a Medium General Merchandise Liquidation Pallet
Before the truck
- Remember delivery is curbside; a dock, forklift or working pallet jack makes unloading easier, and if you have none, contact the store before ordering.
- Clear a path and a landing spot that a pallet jack can reach.
- Set out department bins: kitchen, home, toys, personal care, electronics, tools, pet, other.
- Have gloves, a box cutter, trash bags and a recycling bin for packaging waste.
At the truck
- Inspect the wrap and corners before unloading.
- Photograph and video each side.
- Note damage on the delivery receipt before signing.
Breaking down the pallet
Mixed pallets often hold gaylord boxes or cartons of loose items. Work top-down and carton by carton. Empty each carton straight into department bins rather than onto the floor.
Packaging waste
A pallet of a few hundred items generates a lot of cardboard and plastic. Flatten boxes as you go and plan for a recycling run.
Set aside for a closer look
Anything leaking, broken glass, items with batteries, and consumables or personal care goods whose seals and dates need checking.
About the Lot
Lot 25 is listed as medium general merchandise. It is an unmanifested pallet, so no item list exists. The typical count of 100 to 300 items is not guaranteed.
Condition
General merchandise pallet stock of mixed condition, sold as used. Some pieces may look unopened, others will be used, damaged, incomplete or not working. Nothing is tested or graded. Do not resell opened, damaged or expired consumables, and follow local rules for battery disposal.
Good Fit For
Bin stores, discount shops and flea market vendors building resale inventory by the pallet, especially those already set up for high-count sorting.
Pickup Instead
Local pickup is available by appointment, with storage terms in the Shipping Policy.
Terms
Lot 25 is sold as-is. On receiving day, report damage per the Shipping Policy. Returns follow the Returns & Refund Policy.
